I've never heard that chant. A girl ... I think there is nothing nicer than little girls ... like your little girl. You were taking great snapshots back then too.
I am not asking them about names until she is born. Names are on the short-list one week, and off the next. Names are never really fixed until the parents see and hold the baby in the delivery room. Hence, I do not ask. I do not even ask what is on the short-list.
That can be a surprise ...
You all realise, of course, that I would have been just as delighted with a little boy. However, I suspect they will only have one child. And I do not expect my son to have children.

Yay!
"Girls are strong - like king kong.
Boys are weak - chuck 'em in the creek".
At least that's how I remember it!
Look how sweet Kirsten was.
*grin*
I have not heard that chant for yonks! I wonder if it is still heard on playgrounds ... I hope so!
Tomoorrow, I add another item to Ma's chest: a pack of UNO cards.

I am starting to use the expression "my girls". It gives immense pleasure!
Little girls are made of sugar and spice and all things nice
but my little boy will be nice too.
So what are they going to call her?
