Blogging at The Glenmore

The day started overcast and grey with a biting wind, unusual for Sydney. However, that rapidly burnt off leaving us in paradise, specifically on the rooftop at The Glenmore in Cumberland Street, The Rocks.

And just WHO is 'us' I hear you cry. Well, starting from the left we have Bill from Brisbane & Surrounding Areas, Diane from Adventure Before Dementia, Jim from Sydney City & Suburbs, Ann from Sydney Meanderings, Joan from Sweet Wayfaring, and Michelle & Peter from Sydney-the Emerald City. Bloggers and photographers one and all.

The Glenmore is a very old pub as befits its location. Winding up three sets of stairs you reach their rooftop 'lounge' with quite decent views down the harbour. The pub is on Cumberland Street, which runs along the Bradfield Highway, and sits atop the Argyle Stairs.

When I nominated the day, I had no idea that Jessica Watson was going to head on down the harbour after completing her solo sail around the world. 'Twas a sight, seeing these bloggers hanging off the railing trying to work out which splodge of pink was the centre of all the attention.

However, it was a grand meet-up and we will do it again before the year is out. And ... and ... and ... congratulations to the new grandparents, Bill and Diane who are down from Brissie for another week.
