Through another's eyes ...

I turned 62 on Monday. These portraits were composed yesterday by my son, as we ate pizza at The Australian in The Rocks and talked National Broadband networks and Rangas and netbooks and babies. The hands thing occurred as I tried to explain the photographic exhibition that my daughter and I had been to the previous day at the Art Gallery. It was a large exhibition upstairs of the works of Alfred Stieglitz during the 1920s from Lake George in NY state. Steiglitz had a thing about hands, often according them the same physical importance as the head in his portraits.

Happy birthday for Monday!

I've yet to get to the Stieglitz exhibition. Need to remember before it gets too late.

Doubt you'll pick up a cheap fare to BH, its Rex, Rex or Rex and their idea of cheap was over $450 return. Because I couldn't book till fairly late I paid approx $470 ret.

One of my shots from the SCC course is in the year end competition which I'm chuffed about. I have to get it printed on A2 (24 X 16) which is quite confronting. Its the one of leaves and shadows that looks a bit like the Opera House sails.

Happy Belated, Julie. I was just wandering in and out of your blogs to see if you had a TT post. Your own photos are gorgeous, but these ones your son took really talk to me somehow. I get the feeling that these shots sum you up well...wonderful!

PS - I appreciate your honest feedback on my TT today. :)
