Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

It rained most of the morning, and was dark, bleak and overcast this afternoon. But a toddler cannot stay inside all day.

So off we toddled to Watson's Bay. First to the library, but she was not really interested in reading the books, except for the one where she pressed a button and a duck quacked.

She is, however, crazy about sand. Anyone who has watched the short film on Vignettes will know that she picks up handfuls of dirt or sand, tosses it and shouts 'No'.

Because she can.

I also think it important that I interrupt the stream of recent posts.

What fun watching her play. Kristen is looking well too.

Kirsten is showing more strength and courage and determination as time goes on. Sha has another operation on 13th January. She is only slight, but she packs a wallop!

How wonderful to have her in your life while so many difficult things are swirling around.
A little ray of sunshine.

(she looks a little bit like Gilligan in the last shot!)

Kirsten is amazing and an inspiration. Love the colour coordination, you have a little fashionista.

I suspect she will be. However, at the moment it is all mother-inspired. Kirsten despairs (and laughs uproariously) whenever either her father or her mother dress her daughter!!

She wears such stylish hats which look so cute on her but if we wore them would look like we were taking off one of the older ladies in China town,

And isn't red a wonderful colour.

She's wonderful, Julie. I'm so happy for you. The videos are a hoot, although I did wonder why she throws the dirt around and shouts, "No."
"Because she can" is the perfect answer.

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments.

@Joan - Alannah's Ma bought that stylish hat for her in Paris!

Um, that was me, if it wasn't obvious.
