Brag book

Each of these images was captured by Kirsten. Not bad, is she?
But then again, she IS working with the most perfect of subjects!

Kirsten's done well. Look at those eyes and eyelashes. Already a smasher. How quickly they grow.

These are wonderful, how did she do the b&w conversion? Middle bottom is superb.

Well, for starters they were all with her F1.4 prime. The one with the red ring. I will let her tell you the rest. She drops in here on occasion.

Love that little line in her chin.

We are all voting for the middle bottom but I reckon the one with Kirstin the the frame is also lovely. What a pretty little girl she is ... was thinking of my niece this morning she was such a cute little girl and she is about to have a baby of her own ... and I will be a great Aunty for the 11th time but the 1st time on my side of the family. I remember my great aunties ... they were ancient. I fear I must be becoming ancient.

Regarding ancient ... nearly everyone I work with wasn't born in 1974 so have no recollection of the Brisbane floods, Tracy or Bjelke Peterson ... what must it be like to live to 100 and have nobody who can remember with you.

Thank you.

Actually, if we're voting, I vote for the bottom right image. It was the first image I took after I finally understood how to use my middle-grey card to get the exposure right. It was a revelation.

I have been using Picasa (Google's free editing software) to do the B&W conversion. I generally chose "filtered B&W" because it gives you a bit more control. These images were all processed with Picasa, but I have just moved on to Photoshop.

The 50mm f/1.2 is actually the red ring (professional) lens. I have the 50mm f/1.4, which has a gold ring and is about a third the cost.

Guess what ... I went to Denman on the weekend. Will be posting pics of the drive on SW soon. The town is about the same size as the town I grew up in (which has grown bigger since).
