Guess to whom this is read ...

And, of course, I acknowledge the copyright owners of this work, Emma Dodd and Albin Michel Jeunesse without whom we would not have this immense pleasure.
I found this book in a store on Le Rue Saint-Jacques in Paris.
The book is a joy to touch as well as to read.

The words are even greater! This is the meaning not the word by word translation. I think it is anyways ...

When everything is against you
The world is big, and I am so small.
Everything is fast, and I am so small.
The ocean is deep, and I am so small.
The mountains are high, and I am so small.
The wind is strong, and I am so small.
The winter is long, and I am so small.
The sky is vast, and I am so small.
The stars are far away, and I am so small.
Everything is big, and fast and deep and dark and long and high and I am so small.
But, you, you are strong and you are soft
When I am against you nothing will happen to me
I am little but I know that for you what matters most in the world is me.

It's just lovely.
My schoolgirl french held up not too badly, til I got to:
Les etoiles sont lointaines.
Stars!
Of course.
