Another aunt on the town - mine this time

This is my aunt, Sylvia Olive, in December 1949 in a cafe in The Cross. She had not long turned 21. She was a life-long epilesy sufferer who died from a massive heart attack at the Rushcutter Bowl in February 1972, aged a bit over 43.

Too young to die. Love these old photos.

I agree. As you can see, though, she didn't let much grass grow under her feet. Was her undoing in the end, but she could have lived a staid, controlled life and still shuffled off early. Who knows!

I would never have picked her as just 21 here. Maybe it is the old style clothes and decor makes me think old.

A sad story. I am glad you put her age and name,,,,she looks exactly like an old flame.
