On being involved

Although not in possession of a good voice, I enjoy the experience of singing and the sense of community that it involves. I belong to a small twelve-person choir, di Canto, which presents an eclectic programme of song ranging from Mozart through Beatles to Cohen. Some of us in this group have just completed a season with some of the members of the St George Greek Orthodox Choir from Rose Bay which saw us perform at the Orthodox Dioscesan Christmas gathering in Redfern on Sunday evening and again yesterday evening at a community charity event at South Maroubra. Such totally different occasions, but filled with much commraderie and love.
